Sri Gopala Krishna Swamy strongly believed in the ethos of helping others in need. He felt that quality medical services were unavailable to the needy sections of society. Hence, alongside the temple of Sri Sai Mandiram which he had established in 2003 in Girinagar in Bengaluru, he had also established a free clinic that offered free medical services to the urban poor in and around the area. Besides Free Medical services, monthly free Eye and Dental camps were held (over 120 camps held), where the patients underwent Eye and Dental examination by leading Ophthalmologists and Dentists, also providing appropriate treatment with support provided by a leading Eye Hospital and a Dental College.
Based on this successful model, Sri Gopala Krishna Swamy wanted to duplicate the same in the Ashram at Nidaghatta, to provide high quality medical services to the people in the nearby villages. The foundation for this clinic was laid on 5th June 2020 by Sri Gopala Krishna Swamy, barely a week before he went into Mahasamadhi on 11th June 2020. The building plans are ready and His divine vision will become a reality in the not too distant future, bringing high quality free medical services to people living near the Ashram.
